I've been in the kitchen making...

...Peppermint bark !

I loved the peppermint bark that Debi made while I was over in America living with them.
So when I saw some peppermint candy canes while at the supermarket for just a £1, I just HAD to get them and make peppermint bark ! They came out well and are really yummy !!! Thanks for the recipe Debi !

me and my dew

Its not a very good pic as I used my webcam but I am buzzing as i had a can of mountain dew tonight !!!!! A friend ordered me one from a website :-D  For those of you that don't know you can't buy mountain dew here in England :-( Though I do think that I probably wouldn't love it as much as I do if I could drink it every day - absence really does make the heart grow fonder (most of the time) !
I've had a really good two days at college, I really love it even all the assignments I have to write !!! It does take up a lot of my time but i'd take a day at college over a day at work any day.
I'm rambling here but work is not so great right now and am thinking its maybe time to move on again, my itchy feet are coming into play again.

I'm a bad blogger

Hi guys,
I'm a bad blogger - i Haven't blogged in like a month !!!

Ok so my news:
I've started at college and I LOVE it.
For those of you that don't know I'm doing a Access to healthcare course so that in september I can start my training to become a pediatric nurse.
I have made some good friends already at college which is so nice. We have a laugh together but are all really serious about the course and we all want to become nurses. We are all in our early to mid twenties which sets us apart from the rest of the group who are either older or younger. Oh an we are the only ones without kids of our own !!!

I'm only at college on Monday's and Tuesday's and the rest of the week I'm still working with disabled children at the same school. I've got a promotion though and am now a Lead Learning support worker. I love my new job role but am having to put my new authority into action already. I don't feel good about it one hand as I don't want to rock the boat but when it comes down to safety for the children I have to put my foot down and put a stop to things. Wish I could elaborate more but unfortunately because of confidentiality I can't.

Bus pics (just for Henry)

Henry has asked me to post some pictures of the buses where I live, especially the double decker buses !
Well I didn't take these pics myself as although I have been carrying my camera with me, its really difficult to try and get it out in time and get a good picture !!!

This is one of the buses that I catch on a regular basis to Poole or Bournemouth or anywhere onthe route in-between. They are quite nice buses, they have a low floor so push-chairs and wheelchairs can be pushed on easily and people using wheelchairs don't need to get out as they have an area for them to sit in while on the bus. They are also have air con. which is great !

This is one of the normal double decker buses that go all over the place. Many routes throughout the area. This is the number 110 which I used to get to and from school all the time!
This is one of the new open top double deckers that go along some of the longer routes during the summer, especially routes that go to the many beaches.
This is one of the older open top double decker buses that you still see quite a lot.

Well there you go Henry, hope you enjoyed this post !!!!

way back when-sday (a day late)

Oops I forgot to post this pic yesterday !!!
This pic was taken when I was 5 at Durdle Door, in Dorset near to where I live. Durdle Door was also in the movie Nanny McPhee as the place where the children have a picnic.
Oh the other kids in the pic are my sisters Ellie and Becki. Ellie is on the left, I'm in the middle and Becki is on the right.

I've been tagged !

Those lovely Bouffard children have tagged me again !!!
The rules of this tag are:
List seven songs that you are into right now.
No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they’re not any good, but they must be songs you’re really enjoying now, shaping your Summer of 2008.
Post these instructions in your blog, along with your 7 songs.
Then tag 7 other people to see what their favorites are this year!

Ok so the most played songs on my ipod are :

1. Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson

2. Soulmate by Natasha Bedingfield

3. Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield

4. Footprints in the sand by Leona Lewis

5. Rockstar by Nickelback

6. All summer long by Kid Rock

7. She's so lovely by Scouting for girls

Hope you like my selection and let me know what you think in the comments !

I never know who to choose for these things so anyone reading this that wants to
play along let me know in the comments and i'll come check out your list.

mmmm yummy English breakfast

You see before you my ideal breakfast - Ok so I LOVE the most unhealthy breakfast probebly in the world !!! I have been craving one the whole time I was in America and now i'm home and over my jet-lag (well almost) I was able to head to the supermarket to buy what I needed and make it for myself. I had sausages, bacon, fried eggs, hash browns and baked beans. IT WAS SO GOOD !!!!! It's not like I have this a lot even when I'm at home but I guess I just want it when I can't have it LOL how typically me !
Now if only I could give you all a taste...

Home bitter sweet home

Well I'm home (actually i've been home since yesterday) but I wish I wasn't to be honest even though I love my home comforts, my own bed, the foods I like ect.
Being with the Bouffard family feels like my 2nd home. I feel like part of the family and as much as its great to be back with my friends and family and to be back home I ache to be back again with the Bouffards.

I had a safe trip, we left an hour later than we should have as a member of a group lost a document somehow so they were waiting for them but in the end they decided to go without them. So then we had to wait for them to off-load all the groups 60 BAGS !!!!
The flight was uneventful and I didn't get sick ! I even slept for 3 hours, managed to watch 2 movies 'prince caspian' and 'what happens in vegas' both were really good films.
We made up the time for the late start and arrived pretty much on time.

I got through immigration quickly and my bags were already going round so I picked them up and went straight through customs and made my way to the central bus station by train. It was only one stop but with two large suitcases and my carry-on it was no easy task when I had to give up my trolley ! I managed and got to the bus and bought my ticket and had breakfast at costa coffee while I waited an hour for my bus.
My friend Katy met me when I got to bournemouth bus station and took me home.
I was able to wish my friend Sarah happy birthday as she was working at the school where I live, and then I crashed. It was so good to be in my own bed again I must say - I never sleep well on the plane!!!
